Child safety standards

Halqa Hub (Halqa on the web at halqahub.com and in our Android and iOS apps) has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page sets out what is banned, how to report it, and what we do when we find it.

What is banned

Anywhere on Halqa (posts, comments, chats, voice notes, photos, profiles, communities and marketplace listings), you must never:

  • Share, request, sell or link to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including drawn, edited or AI-generated images.
  • Sexualise a child in any way, including comments, captions or “jokes”.
  • Groom a child: build trust with a minor in order to abuse or exploit them, or move them to another app for that purpose.
  • Sextort anyone, or threaten to share intimate images of a minor.
  • Offer, advertise or arrange the trafficking or sexual exploitation of children.
  • Contact a minor for sexual purposes, or ask a minor for images of themselves.

These rules are part of our community guidelines and terms. Halqa isn’t for children under 13.

How to report

  • In the app or on the web: open the menu (•••) on the message, photo, voice note, post, comment, profile, community or listing, choose Report, then Child safety.
  • By email: support@halqahub.com, with a link to the account or content if you can. Please don’t attach or forward the material itself.
  • If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency number first.

What we do

  • Child safety reports go to a dedicated queue with our highest priority, reviewed by staff trained for child safety. We aim to act within one hour.
  • We remove the content and permanently ban the account. Making a new account to get around a ban is itself a violation.
  • We report child sexual abuse material and exploitation to the authorities: the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline, and national law enforcement where the people involved are, as the law requires.
  • We preserve the relevant information for as long as the law requires, and respond to valid requests from law enforcement.
  • We never tell the reported person who reported them.

Child safety contact

Our designated contact for child safety, CSAM prevention and compliance questions, including from law enforcement and safety organisations, is support@halqahub.com.
