Delete your Halqa account

You can delete your Halqa account and its data at any time, from the app, the website, or by email.

In the app or on the website

  • Android or iPhone: open Halqa, tap your photo (top right) → Settings → Delete account.
  • Web: sign in at halqahub.com → Settings → Account → Delete account.

You’ll be asked to confirm with your password. Deletion happens straight away and can’t be undone.

If you have open orders or you own a community, Halqa asks you to finish or hand them over first, so other people aren’t left stuck. You can download a copy of your data beforehand from Settings → Account → Download your data.

By email

If you can’t sign in, email support@halqahub.com from the address on your account, with your @username. We’ll confirm it’s you and delete the account within 30 days.

What’s deleted

  • Your profile: name, photo, cover, bio, website and city.
  • Your email address, password, passkeys and sign-in sessions.
  • Your posts and comments, marketplace listings and open offers.
  • Your follows, community memberships, saved items, notifications and notification devices.

What’s kept, and why

  • Your @username is held for 30 days so nobody can pretend to be you, then released.
  • Messages you already sent stay in the other people’s chats, shown as from “Deleted account”, because they’re part of their conversations too.
  • Completed orders and reviews stay in the other person’s records.
  • Reports, moderation decisions and security logs are kept as long as needed to keep Halqa safe and meet legal duties.
  • Backups may hold deleted data for up to 14 days before it’s gone from them too.
